Hiro Nakamura Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Me and my friend are planning a November 2013 trip to New Zealand for 3 weeks. Air Tickets will cost 2 Lakhs approx, which car rent company is best in NZ? Where to stay? We also want to explore South Island. We need estimate pricing for activities such as bungy jumping and jet boating. My question is, how much is enough money to have a good NZ trip?
punjabi_khota Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Depends if you want to get laid and how ugly you are.

Get a caravan and drive from south to north of South Island. 3 weeks trip minus accommodation/travel would cost you around 100 bucks a day or around 50 bucks if you try to be frugal. Check online for accommodation and renting car, it should be around 30-40 a day for a small car.
GrandMasterSaxy Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 2 lakh for air ticket ? is it for one or two people ? November to Feb is summer in New Zealand and this is the time when visitors from across the globe flock to New Zealand (to beat the winter in their home country). The weather will be perfect (hot) for the trip. There are hundreds of car rental company and some are really quite cheap. As you will be travelling during the peak NZ summer the price will be bit high but would not be more than $50 (off season it starts from $20) per day. South Island would be perfect, you can visit places like milford sound, queenstown, christchurch, Wanaka, Marlborough Sounds, Lake Pukaki etc. Bungy jump would cost around $200-$250 and skydiving would cost $500-700 (season price). Jet boating starts from $200 but mostly depends on the destination/tour. Me and my friend are planning a November 2013 trip to New Zealand for 3 weeks.
