Okay, let me not get irritated and try and explain what happened: a) What happened with Kohli was in an IPL match. IPL is a concept where cities/franchises face off and people play hard. Players have even abused each other in IPL (like Kohli fought with Gambhir) because they are all playing hard. An animated crowd (like Wankhede) is often combative (just like the players), and play hard as well; so automatically, an opponent franchise becomes someone who's your sporting enemy. So, the same way as Kohli shows fingers and does MC-BC to his sporting opponents, he got the same treatment from Wankhede since he was their opponent. I hope you understand the logic of it and don't get swayed by the 'He represents the country, should be respected' logic. That does not work for IPL; specially for people like Kohli who shows his finger to his home crowds, sledges back and generally acts as a *****. b) Dhoni hai-hai today was pure banter; I am sure Dhoni also chuckled. Later 'Tino sucks' was almost in the same spirit; even Sammy started laughing then. c) This Tendu craze is everywhere and the wicket before Tendu is celebrated in the same way. From a thick patriotism angle it may look odd, but not so when you realize what Sachin means to people. He means the same to many of the players, and even though they might find it odd, they know why the crowd react like that. I have watched cricket in 10-12 stadiums in India and I can assure you that the same happens everywhere in varying degrees. I can assure you it will never again happen in India ever (hope that makes you happy). No one cricketer will conjure such emotions as Sachin did for a lot of us. I hope you understand my points and understand why it happens. It is okay if you disagree with it, but it is simply an emotional reaction of an emotional crowd.
