SLC looks to secure $8 million ICC loan

If granted, the loan would be used to settle most of the $10.1 million SLC owes the state-owned Bank of Ceylon. The board pays around 6.5% interest on this loan. :haha:

Build massive grounds in the middle of nowhere, overstaff your self and pay thick bonuses, get high interest loans to cover costs then cancel major tournaments to cover costs and watch your side become mediocre side right infront of your eyes...and then go and ask for the pitty from ICC. being a SL cricket fan I'm sick to see what's being going around and extremely dissapointed .

There must be some conditions before granting them interest free loan. Not only Lankan board has wasted money, but it also ensured that broadcasting rights were given to channel owned by someone related to president and that too for lower price 2 years back (or probably last year). IIRC no one bid for the the TV rights (probably President made sure that).
