Poll : Should the Aam Aadmi Party form a Govt. in Delhi with the support of Cong?

The Aam Aadmi Party has not yet ruled out accepting support from the Congress to form a government in Delhi. Indicating that it was open to the possibility, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal told Times Now on Wednesday that he was personally against having truck with either Congress or BJP, but there were many opinions in the party, including some who wanted AAP to make the government. That's why, he said, the leadership has decided to seek a referendum from the people.
While there have been reports that opinion within AAP was divided on government formation, this is the first time Kejriwal himself has acknowledged that there's an opinion in favour of making the government. What's more, the opinion would appear to be strong enough for Kejriwal to hold a referendum to ascertain the public view on the issue.

I see that Dexter Morgan has not voted in the poll - looks he also' date=' like the party he supports, is confused :phehehe:[/quote'] Lets see who is confused. BJP (before elections) - AAP is Congress B team. BJP (after elections and AAP doesn't form government) - AAP is running away responsibilities. BJP (after AAP mulls over Congress support) - AAP is Congress B team. BJ-partyers can't even decide what to accuse AAP of. :winky:

here, see who is confused: Arvind Kejriwal admits division within AAP on Delhi govt formation
NEW DELHI: In an exclusive interview to Times Now, Arvind Kejriwal laid bare his point of view regarding his political agenda, divisions within the AAP on the issue of government formation in Delhi, his relationship with Anna Hazare and finally the Delhi deadlock which is baffling all. Speaking about the possibility of forming a coalition government, Kejriwal said that the letter sent to Congress highlighting the eighteen points, which will form the foundation of the government, was actually an effort from his side to arrive at political consensus. He also mentioned that on a personal level, he remains uncomfortable at the idea of forming a coalition government. He went on to admit that there is division within the party when it comes to government formation with some supporters wary of an alliance between AAP and Congress. He, however, went on to announce that the final decision on forming a government in Delhi will be arrived at on Sunday night.
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Arvind-Kejriwal-admits-division-within-AAP-on-Delhi-govt-formation/articleshow/27599687.cms and I must say its been a remarkable transition for the AAP members and supporters from being "outsiders" to "politicians". I simply made a point that you look confused on the issue mentioned in this thread and you, like supporters of all political parties, instead of answering the question, started accusing the party I support. Well done  BTW you still haven't voted or made your stand clear on whether AAP should form the Govt. or not.

Today I learned, disagreement == confused :hatsoff: BJ-party was confused with whom to select CM candidate of Delhi - Vijay "Goonda" Goel or Dr. Polio Drops. Sigh! Disagreements are common when there are people. Not the first time, not the last time either. BJ-party even confused with word meanings now and BJ-partyers can't even decide what to accuse AAP of - shying away from responsibility rhetoric or B-team.

@ S=G, first make your stand clear on accusations. You can't have it both ways - next, I have sent in my response to AAP as asked. Finally, I hadn't really checked this thread. It is only after someone pointed me out that I checked it.

if AAP does form the Govt. then many people will accuse them of being the Cong B team since they fought the entire election on an anti-Cong platform and then after the election went on to join hands with Cong to be in power. This will hurt their image massively. if AAP does not form the Govt. then many people will accuse them of running away from responsibility of forming the Govt. when they have received such support from the people of Delhi and they will also be blamed for re-election since both BJP and Cong offered them support and they didn't accept it. Both accusations would be justified to some some extent so AAP will get some blame irrespective of which decision it takes and hence it is a very tricky situation for AAP. You are apparently the biggest AAP supporter on ICF so I am again asking you what do you think - should AAP form the Govt. with the support of the Cong or not?

Today I Learned that calling names is okay as long as its done by supporters of the party which is there to "change" politics in the country. FYI Vijay Goel was never officially announced as CM candidate. He was the State Prez so everyone (including him) thought he would be the CM candidate but in October Dr. Harshvardhan was announced.

Irrespective of what you/others would accuse AAP of, a poll shouldn't contain the future options. You can simply have a YES and NO, later on give your interpretation. That's called priming and that's now how polls are conducted i.e. if your intention of this poll was not to play the Heads I win, Tails you lose rhetoric. I have already voted.

Wasn't AAP supposed to be about "open" politics etc etc etc...so why don't you tell everyone here what you sent to them. Should AAP form the Delhi Govt with Cong support or not?

Oh sir, there is so much name calling all over - Khujliwal etc. etc. I don't see you object. Why should you object when I return the favor for BJP?

Since when does transparent politics equate to - knowing response to each and every individual? Elections are transparent too but you don't know the choice of every individual's vote. Don't make a false equivalence.

I think most posters who voted in the poll are ones who have followed the Delhi elections so the lines wouldn't have effected their opinions on this issue either ways. But of course you just have to nitpick. just now :winky:

Common S=G! This is a non-issue really. Ganeshran has put it perfectly - AAP is in a catch 22 situation. They've gone for the best possible option of crowd sourcing via referendum. Such a referendum happens at many democracies in the world and is a legitimate option. The other choice is to sit in your own ivory towers and decide what your people want. It is not a sin to gauge people's sentiments on the issue. Sure, they are confused and I would be the first one to admit it ut there is no shame on that part.

If yes, then returning the favor by calling names isn't really a good way to go about it. But the reality is that no matter what you (or other AAP supporters or member) may say, AAP is just like any other party and will not be different form other parties apart form the fact that AAP doesn't know much about politics.
