SA always start rusty. Even in UAE they overdid the short stuff and came back brilliantly in 2nd test. Today as well, they bowled at 4th-5th stump for good 75-80 overs. Its with the new ball that they changed their line of attack to stumps and we could see more than a couple of lbw shouts.

But most importantly, we played out the new ball and tired them out. The bounce takes care of lbw shouts, don't think one would have gone to hit the stumps anyway. Only steyn's wicket that was done to a plan was a real wicket taking delivery, i felt the other wickets were gifted, even morkel's.

Anyway, just shows that we played well today to make a top captain like smith ask questions and feel some pressure

Hmmm..what about their starts at home? Bowled NZ and Pak under 50. We did really well to counter them.

Fair enough but its something that has been a recent trend with them. Also by no means was I suggesting India got freebies, we did grit it out.
