My pick:- Openers-Jiwanjit,Mukund,Chand Middle-order-Baba,Zol,Juneja,Manish Pandey,Rayudu(he's a squad player in the test team). Keeper/bat-Samson,Naman Ojha(highest run scorer this season). Spinners-Rasool,Jalaj. Seamers-Aaron,Pandey,Dhawal,Rishi. First XI:-Jiwanjit,Mukund,Baba,Zol,Juneja,Rayudu,Samson,Rasool,Aaron,Dhawal, Pandey.

Pankaj Singh? Chand should be in as well Also no aaron. Straight in to India squad imo

Ok I'll add Chand to the openers list but Pankaj is not in the selector's radar so it's unlikely that he'll be picked in the A team.If Aaron straight away gets in the senior team then maybe BK will be in the A team.

So what is the India - A calendar for 2014 ? Tried searching but didn't find anything. Really looking forward to see the new crop, now that majority of the previous harvest has been incorporated into the senior team.

I remember in 1990s when Aussies were going through the transition, they used to have Australia vs Aus A matches. in 1994/95 this was Aus A side against Aus. For Venues I will chose Dharamshala, Lahli, Kolkata, Chennai and Mohali as it gives combination of good pitches for batsmen, pacers and spinners.

Good Idea. In place of challenger Trophy India ODI team against India -A 3 ODI.

GOOD idea to have India A as team in Duleep trophy against five zonal team. as BCCI invited England lion . West indies A team to participate in duleep trophy as foreign team.

Very good idea as suggested by the above posters. My 'A' team would look like this: Jiwanjyot/Khadiwale (prefer the former) KL Rahul Baba/Zol (former has been in slightly better form and can bowl) Vihari Jadhav/Tiwary (both aggressive bats who can score quick at 5) N. Ojha Jalaj Saxena R. Dhawan A. Yadav (can bat a bit, best FC record amongst Indian spinners) Pankaj Singh Bumrah This attack was batting till 9, and sufficient bowling options. Pankaj, Bumrah and Dhawan handle pace-bowling. Amit Yadav and Saxena bowl spin, with Baba as back-up.
