zep1706 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 yeah.. I had decided not to watch this match for some compelling reasons. Nadal's decision to fight is super-human-ic. Some bone headed would say he faked it.
ganeshran Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Serving for the game, set and match and championship
adi B Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 rafa looks totally down, stan is destroying him..what a turnaround by stan!!
adi B Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 stan does it at last,so deserving!! stan the man!!
Raghav_12 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 What an effort by Nadal. he ensured wawrinka feels at least like having earned it.
zep1706 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 What an effort by Nadal. Incredible effort to play on. Stan was caught off guard. He sort of gifted the third set away. I am happy that Stan won it. He was also playing well, so it's not like he just got lucky.
adi B Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 those who were thinking it to be a one sided final have been thoroughly pwned by stan.. last time delpotro won the slam outside top4,he defeated 2 of the best of the time, rafa and fed.now stan wins AO defeating rafa and nole,2 best of the time!!
bones Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 What a joyous occasion. I can't even rub salt into the wounds of Rafa-tards due to this injury. But thank you God, for saving the beautiful sport of tennis on this day. I'd like to offer my middle finger to zep1706 on this glorious day.
Desi Cartman Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Incredible effort to play on. Stan was caught off guard. He sort of gifted the third set away. I am happy that Stan won it. He was also playing well' date=' so it's not like he just got lucky.[/quote'] Yes he was playing well and looked set to win but still Stan also got 2nd set as a gift. Had rafa been 100% fit, this could have been a 5 set match.
adi B Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 In 2009 AO fed 27 + reached the final in quest of 14GS ,Sampras's record.. In 2014 AO rafa 27+ has reached the final in quest of 14 GS ..what a great coincidence b/w 2 of the best !! like fed, rafa loses as well..most probably he'll get the 14th at FO wow
Yoda-esque Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 In 2009 AO fed 27 + reached the final in quest of 14GS ,Sampras's record.. In 2014 AO rafa 27+ has reached the final in quest of 14 GS ..what a great coincidence b/w 2 of the best !! not to mention that Nadal is crying now as well (just like Fed did)
Yoda-esque Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 First one handed bh slam winner since Fed...
zep1706 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Yes he was playing well and looked set to win but still Stan also got 2nd set as a gift. Had rafa been 100% fit, this could have been a 5 set match. The match was over after 2 games in the second set.
zep1706 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I'd like to offer my middle finger to zep1706 on this glorious day. Hey ******* there is a difference of class between me and you. I am happy for Stan, there is more to life for me than tennis. :finger:
