The Outsider Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 The dashing left-hander believes that till he does not perform in Test cricket, he cannot be considered as a top player. He got that right.
Guest Yograj Singh Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Yuvraj is a masterful player who can destroy pace and spin attacks with ease, and should be in the test squad this moment. And I am sure he will will average well over 50 in tests once the selectors stop mishandling him and moving him around the lineup so roughly. If it's anything less than that, I shall give him a real thrashing once he retires.
Chaos Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 well not a bad option to include yuvraj, but his technique is very loose.
Guest Yograj Singh Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 rubbish. I have spent most of Yuvi's life working on his technique and making sure he is capable of being India's greatest batsman. As it is he has more talent in his fingertips than most of our other names in the batting lineup. All he needs is a fair chance to bat at number 4 in test matches for some time, where he will be wonderfully productive and will destroy all bowlers.

silentstriker Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Yuvraj is not a Test quality player. I would still back VVS Laxman over Yuvraj Singh in Tests. With that said, he has been in great form in the shorter version of the game, and should get a chance. I might be proven wrong. I think Uthappa has a better chance to be a Test player, but we'll see.
Mr. Wicket Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Badrinath and VVS are both far superior players when the longer form of the game is concerned. I'd take either of them any day over Yuseless.
Rohan495 Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 this guy cant play spin tell him to pass the spin test first!
Chaos Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 this guy cant play spin tell him to pass the spin test first! dude let him practice how not to give slip catches when ball is swinging.
beetle Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 this guy cant play spin tell him to pass the spin test first! Agree ....totally!
Yuvraj4Captaincy Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 A lot of you naysayers are gonna be in for a surprise..nuf said and yuvraj has improved against spin vastly. someone saying uthappa a better test batsmen..hahahah...tell that guy to not lock himself up before playing then we will talk. yuvraj is gonna be a top class test batsmen.
The Outsider Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 yuvraj is gonna be a top class test batsmen. Though at the moment he averages less than Afridi!!:hysterical:
Yuvraj4Captaincy Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 so whts the pt? Yuvraj averaged 29 at one pt in odis too...hasnt he improved? when he is given a full go in the tests, his average is gonna be big but more importantly, he will help win tests for india. now go on and laugh
Holysmoke Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 I'd rather have somebody who averages 50 in 50 matches. Sehwag would be my backup for the test team, incase someone was injured.
Yuvraj4Captaincy Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 sehwag is a test opener...we already have plenty of test openers in line now
Yuvraj4Captaincy Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 he gotta perform in the challeneger trophy..he hasnt been performign though and thats the reason why he was dropped.
Yuvraj4Captaincy Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Nothign against sehwag but had a question pop up in my mind, hows sehwags techniqe better than yuvraj?
