Of the eight teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils were the two who fully utilised their Rs 60 crore salary budget with the latter spending the entire amount at the auction. Rajasthan Royal and Kings XI Punjab were the judicious spenders, left with Rs 5.5 crore and Rs 4.1 crore respectively. So what happens to the balance salary budget left with the franchises? It will be carried forward to the 2015 auction increasing the size of their budget. "After getting Rs 60 crore in the first year, the team will get 5 percent of that amount - Rs 3 crore - extra the next year. Besides, the extra Rs 3 crore, the money that we managed to save from the auction this year will be added to our purse next year," Royals CEO Raghu Iyer told TOI on Friday.
PAA-G Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 What if we send back the players to auction pool after not renewing their contract will we get that amount as well....for eg if we send back dk to auction pool then would we get 12.5 cr which we had paid for him to further spend on new players??
