The Joburg Test 2nd innings too he was just running in without any purpose I respect him a lot but his role should be of a bowling coach or consultant if they dont want a Foreign bowling coach either him or T.A.

Since the new team came together (after oldies' retirements) our batting hasn't really disappointed despite playing in helpful conditions in SA & NZ. They have managed to put up decent totals but our bowling has struggled and one of the main reasons for the same is our "spearhead" Zak. Umesh should've had a go instead of Zak and I'm sure we wouldn't have failed as we did in the 1st Test in SA where we couldn't win despite SA needing 450+ to win on days 4 & 5, and also wouldn't have conceded 500+ against NZ in the 1st Test of this series which effectively shut us out of the match.

There's no menace, intent or sting in his bowling and he's simply going through the motions. It's as if he doesn't even care anymore. But the worrisome part is Indian selectors still slect him in the Indian squad!!! Seriously after the SA tour would anyone had selected him for NZ tour? What exactly was the basis for the selection. Zak Khan still believes that he has a lot to offer which I disagree with the worrying part for me is that we have IPL coming up where I am sure he will play surely :nervous: after that we have a tour to England 5 Test match series and if he is playing then we are in trouble cause I remember back in 2011 he got injured half way through the first test :nervous: .For that tour need few bowlers as I dont see Zak lasting that tour.

If Zaheer has anything to offer, it should be in the non-playing capacity. He's free to mentor the team as a bowling coach but he doesn't deserve to be selected in the team. It's an insult to the bowlers sitting on the sidelines and the ones plying their trade in domestic cricket. Selecting Zak is every bit as wrong as selecting Kapil over Srinath at the *** end of Kapil's career where he was trundling in just to beat Hadlee's record.

We have jadeja whos doing a decent job, brings dynamic fielding too and a batting option. seamers need to take wickets, hope ishant delivers again. but we need a pool of pacers and we dont have that. rotation policy ought to be used

We've Umesh, Bhuvi and Pandey sitting on the sidelines in Tests and in odis we have Aaron. It's just that our bowlers need to get better control over their line & length but the current depth is much better than we had in 80s or 90s.
