I know who Pandey is because he was in the test squad and took the most wickets in the tour game. The description of the way he bowls is enough for me to guess that he's most probably better than Ishant Sharma. I also post on another cricket forum where some Indian posters are present. Hell, anyone is better than Ishant Sharma. Isn't he the worst bowler in history to have played 50 tests or something? India really couldn't do worse. I also went to the test match in Eden Park and saw him in town the day after. That guy seriously needs a haircut.

Anyone who thinks Ishant is good mustn't watch much cricket. Even when he took wickets, the seam was scrambled and it was completely due to the fact that India were gifted the best bowling conditions across the series because Dhoni won the tosses. There's also this false idea that he bowls long spells - he bowls about 2 overs of decent pace then bowls in the 120s for the rest of his spell. To his credit, he did at least actually put the ball in the right areas this series, but any wickets of his were due to the pitches seaming around, not his skill. Honestly, I don't know if Pandey is good. I just think it's unlikely that he'd be worse than Ishant.

I also have a lot of Indian friends in my cricket team and we talk about these things. Believe it or not, I also know about a fair few West Indies domestic players vying for spots in their national team that are also taken up by non-performers. Even as a neutral fan, it's frustrating to say the least to not see the best players playing cricket for their country.

haha, well I don't have a problem with Pakistanis or Muslims and I think Mohammed Amir was an exceptional talent and I was sad to see them throw their careers away. And Asif actually, that guy was phenomenal, just as good as Philander. Too bad he was such an idiot. I just don't get all the baiting and ridiculing. I saw it throughout the test threads and it really grated me, especially given that his username pretty much represents my country. Hope you guys didn't take it as seriously as I clearly have!
