Magneto Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Rohit sharma :finger: Only one who dominated the bowling. That brainfart cost us the match. Jaddu also could not capitalize in the last 2 overs.
Old guy Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Only one who dominated the bowling. That brainfart cost us the match. Jaddu also could not capitalize in the last 2 overs. U can't throw it away after getting set that too while opening :((
Magneto Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 U can't throw it away after getting set that too while opening :(( Yeah that was pathetic. Rohit actually has a semi-decent record against Pakistan. 4 fifties in 10 matches. But never went beyond the 60s. No.5 in his position. Not opening.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Bottom line is whether they were able to win the matches. Answer is no. So who cares how good or bad the bowling was when we couldn't win a match which mattered and they couldn't reach the final in a three horse race. They were in a winning position against both SL & Pak and couldn't make it count so who cares about the "better" bowling. I would take cr@ppy bowling as long as we win the tourney.

The problem was the brain dead coach Fletcher who played three spinners against pakistan. And ofcourse the schedule was no friend either.Feeding spinners to afridi is like giving booze to an alcholic. He will clean you.

No matter what, the point is India had both SL & Pak on the ropes and teams like SA or Aus would have finished them off but we allowed both opponents to win. Even if we had managed to sneak one win, we would have been in the final. Schedule etc. is just excuses. Fact is we couldn't close the games when we were in a position to do so.

The schedule was the problem because this pakistan team is crap.If India did not play SL they would beat pakistan like a beech.
Midfielder Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 4 overs to spare how did this crappy pakistan team made it to finals.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 4 overs to spare how did this crappy pakistan team made it to finals. Coz we couldn't even beat them.
Midfielder Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Coz we couldn't even beat them. we got screwed by the schedule.

In fact the spinners bowled better than the pace bowlers. They almost won the game with three spinners. The main problem was scoring only 245 on a batting track. They were at least 25-30 runs short. Actually for a change the bowlers should be applauded that they managed to make a match out of it.
Texan Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 OP must be kidding; even Afghanistan has better bowlers than India.

They dont like pace and what do we do, give them no pace. However I do agree we needed 30 or so more runs.

express bowling Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Dozen cameras on the field have hurt them more. If chuckmal is stopped they are finished. Exactly. Take out the more than normal ball tampering, steroid use and chucking and Pak bowling would have and would present a very different picture.
Midfielder Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Exactly. Take out the more than normal ball tampering, steroid use and chucking and Pak bowling would have and would present a very different picture. Took words right out of my mouth. Chuckmal still is a huge problem. Two most sucessful offspinners have the least desirable actions Chuckmal and Murli. It is physics and they get a huge leverage in their actions.
