This tournament Indian Bowling better than Pakistan

Key moments were not taken by the bowlers, which led to the losses. Overall stats do not mean much if you can't win key moments in cricket. But the main reason India did not reach the finals was due to sub par batting - 265 and 245 against SL and Pakistan were not decent enough. If India need Kohli to get a 100 every time, then they aren't going to win too many matches.

Look at the damage malinga did. Afridi best moments have been against spin. But overall getting back to track Indian bowling was not that bad in the tournament.

I don't think so. All the pacers were expensive in that match, and we have no idea what an inexperienced Pandey would have done, hardly the match for experimentation. The two top bowlers were Mishra and Ashwin who conceded the least amount of runs and also picked up important wickets.

The fielding did not back up the bowling. I think Ajmal aside the Indian spinners were better than the other bowlers. Bhuvi and Shami though in games v sl and pak did not turn up. Mishra Jadeja and Ashwin were good.

Afridi seldom enjoys a good momemnt against pace bowlers. I agree on the batting deficiency but last over of spin to Afridi was a strategic blunder. In my opinion 3 spinners against non asian teams and 3 pacers against asian teams.

You play the chucker card a bit too much here. No doubt Ajmal has few nibbles in his action. But still the ICC has accepted him. So why are you bring up unnessacary claims? As for the gist of the thread. I agree with it. You guys did better bowling then us. Where as in batting we did a little better. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk

This is not personal. Agree with you that your batting was better than us but I am always torn how Murali and Ajmal get away with it. This rule has opened a flood gate. Is it coincidence that both these guys get extra leverage from flexing their arms and can do a bit more. How come conventional current spinners are not successful and these guys are? That is the problem and it has nothing to do with pakistan. Think hard why everyone admires Saqlain and nobody questions him. As a matter of fact when Murali claimed he had a childhood defect I challenged all lankans to show me one picture of his with arm bent as a child and they could show nothing. I am still waiting. This is literally bending the rules.

Playing Ashwin was not the problem. Bowling Ashwin for the last over was the tactical mistake. Shami should have bowled the last over, by bowling a spinner we gave Afridi a better chance at a wild slog. Ashwin's deliveires beat Afridi twice but both shots passed the boundary, it was bad luck for India. We needed a bowler who could bowl straight, fast on the block hole.

I understand that this is not personal' date=' But I feel I have to speak out because I have seen a thread on chuckers in the past. I thought this chucker tag would have ended long ago, yet I see you keep mentioning it in this thread to undermine a bowlers performance. It just does not come out right and makes you sound very bitter. This is not me defending Ajmal because hes a Pakistani, I feel the same way about Murli to. If you got any problems with the rule change then blame the ICC, Don't make it sound like its the players fault that so and so rule happen.[/quote'] I agree ICC is at fault but it was way too much pressure from Asian block. All I am saying is some offspinners perform way better than others and that is troubling. I have no problem in saying Indian batting was crap. Like I mentioned before Murali supporters never produced a picture of his childhood with birth defect and Ajmals excuse was that he had an accident. Let us get serious I was not born yesterday.

They perform better because of the doosra, Having an issue like that allows them to bowl a doosra. But still its not a easy art to learn, it took Ajmal a while to learn it. It also doesn't mean you go off demeaning their achievements because of that. There is a whole study over Murli's arm, why would you need his childhood picture to be fully convinced he has a birth defect? Ajmal went through a accident and you consider it a excuse? Dude do you even read your posts?
No it is not easy but if Saqlain could do it he should too without bending his arm. I dont give a damn about studies. Please show me a picture of congenital defect he had or else I would call him a liar and chucker. That was an excuse. Lot of people go thru accidents, that does not mean we should accommodate them in sports. This is competitive stuff, no room for excuses like accidents and birth defects.

Aside from Ajmal and Hafeez Pakistani bowlers were terrible this series and I agree with Midfielder that Indian bowlers were slightly less terrible :P Mohammad Akram is not getting the job done as Pakistani bowling coach. Our fast bowlers are undisciplined and seem to have no bowling plan or strategy under him. We need Waqar Younis back !

If you don't care about the studies then you are simply ignoring them and calling those that tested him liars. Your basing everything on your judgement and biaseness to under meaning a bowlers achievement. How can you be so sure that he is a liar and a cheater when those that tested him them selves came to that conclusion? Oh? if that's a excuse then why not use this criteria for every bowler then? And I am not talking about just Ajmal here or Murlitharan. See for your self why this rule changed. source: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/cricket/muralitharan-in-the-clear-as-icc-revolutionises-chucking-laws-6158347.html
Once again no proof he had any birth defect. The accident stuff you know it sounds pathetic. These 15 degree was not needed till these bozos came along and hurt the spirit of the game. is it a coincidence he was called for no ball? All this was done under lab controlled conditions, none under pressure of a game conditions where they were getting away with murder.

Yep. Birth defect or not, these players got an advantage over other bowlers with normal actions who are not allowed to chuck because they are normal. So if a batsman becomes lame due to an accident, they will take pity on him and will allow a permanent runner for him? Rules have to be the same for every one.

I dont have twich muscles I cant run fast so I need a runner. This is BS. I hope someone has courage to call Ajmal a chucker during this tournament.

You guys were not complaining about the actions when Bhaji was winning you matches against great Aussie team.

We were about his doosra. But the Ajmal crap has gone above and beyond reasonable. Someone needs to call him for no bowl otherwise everything goes.

His doosra is legal under both MCC and ICC rules. His regular off spin is illegal under MCC rules and legal under ICC rules. Read the articles on Cricinfo from 2012 about it for more information.

You are missing the point. He is being given an loophole to exploit. What he has is garbage and you are defending it.
