Exactly,Salve is a Pawar man and we know why he is getting involved. BTW , he is saying today that MSD was probably misunderstood
its really irritating as feck to see him (Salve) parading around as if he is the crusader for justice.

Why are people questioning Salve here? It is his F***** JOB to bring the defendants into question. Every prosecution lawyer will do that if he performs his job to the best. The pertinent and interesting political question should be - Who is paying Salve's expensive fees? :D

How is it even conflict ? You mean he is too motivated ,conflict will be if he had stake in csk and was prosecuting csk ...people need to understand meaning of word

Lawyers should not get involved in cases unless they have some personal interests. This is something new I learnt today.

I feel that Dhoni has certainly upset some powerful people somewhere, else he would have been ignored. The fact that Salve went to the extent of presenting proof incriminating Dhoni's conflict of interest goes on to show how things will pan out if the non-Srini lobby comes into power. Dhoni anyway upset the Pawar clan by openly siding with Srini when Modi went down. So retribution could be around the corner.

Very well researched and written. But unless proven in court all this would be mere speculation' date=' if he did all this then he would surely go behind bars eventually.[/quote'] Thank you. I took a lot of effort into writing that.

Its nothing to do with siding with modi. Manohar was the president at the time. Either way Modi took on the congress who were in government at the time. Dumb move.Srini just was practical enough to tell the others to shove him under the bus. For all his moaning Lalit modi sought too much of the limelight. Reminds me of a saying of a friend of mine. You can be dumb like john gotti or smart like gambino. Srini has caught the Gotti bug. Should never have become BCCI prez. Rather should have pushed forward a pawn like shivlal yadav and become the power behind the throne

That same Manohar is now singing a different and expected tune. Srini snitched on Modi who was pretty close to Pawar. They have waited patiently for their turn and have now turned it into a full-blown offensive. Dhoni has got stuck in the crossfire due to shameless sycophancy on his part. This is an excellent case study on where chaaplusi eventually leads people.

He did not snitch to anybody. It was not Srini who started a twitter fight with Shashi Tharoor. As soon as it came out in the open it was time for Modi to go. Especially since Pawar was involved in a much bigger alliance with the congress in maharashtra. Srini would have taken the helm of the BCCI regardless of what happened to Modi. The original alliance of Bindra-Pawar-Srini toppled Dalmiya. So as soon as Pawar had his day it was always going to be Srini. Modi should blame nobody but himself for the way he conducted this business. Thats not to say he was not a good money spinner for the BCCI. Hell i would have Modi back in charge of the BCCI anytime over Srini. But you play in the media too much then get ready for the consequences.

Modi probably bit more than he could chew by first taking on P Chidambaram during the 2009 IPL and then on Tharoor in 2010. Having said that, Srinivasan refused to take an iota of blame on himself, despite it always being a team game. Everyone pocketed their share but then turned out and made Modi the fall guy. Srini went to the extent of lying to every agency investigating the fraud, by claiming he didn't know what he was signing. Then when the courts and agencies got to the truth and passed observations that it was a "team game", suddenly he turned quiet and has not spoken about the investigations for a year now. Srini probably overdid Modi on a lot of counts and the people who he antagonized were waiting for a chance to get back at him. That has happened. And how. For all the megalomania, Modi atleast made huge contributions to the game of cricket. What has Srinivasan done? Absolutely NOTHING.

Lalit Modi got too big for his own shoes. His rise was on the back of Vasundhara Raje of the BJP and its no surprise his comeback in Rajasthan cricket comes on the back of Raje winning the rajasthan assembly elections. How he comes back in Indian cricket is heavily dependent on what happens in Rajasthan. If Raje can establish a dynasty or a long premiership Modi might even one day become BCCI top dog. He would not be in the position he found himself had his diversified his own power base. Which he did not. He chose battles against people of Mumbai cricket association as well as made bitter enemies of Sanjay Dixit in Rajasthan. If i was in the place of Srini or Pawar i would have cut down Modi a long time before it came to that. Once Raje lost the election he lost the Rajasthan cricket association elections and he was done for. Srinivasan is following the same path of Modi. His dictatorial style is alienated many people. People in Mumbai cricket hate him. Especially Mr Patil the owner of DY Patil stadium , a stadium which Srini blacklisted who is now a force within Mumbai cricket. The only thing keeping Srini in power was the fact that Pawar did not want to move before the elections happened and will be tied till Maharashtra elections are over later this year. This is why somebody like a Pawar is much more capable and dangerous than Srinivasan. He shuns the limelight and knows how to distribute power and wealth to keep people happy.
