Two tired teams ready to play mediocre cricket, generates great expectations

The tiredness is related to players. Look at the number of players who played for Aussies during this period and India. They rotate their bowlers effectively. They call it injury if they are not 100% fresh.
We have also rotated our bowlers well. RP/ZAK/SS/Aggy have all sat out games at one stage or the other.
Eng didn't have most of their match winners against India. Look at the players who won them Ashes against Aussie. They were all out except for ever injured Flintoff.
Umm, when was the last time Flinty played anyway? Jones hasn't played since the Ashes. Harmison has been always been brittle. Hoggy was the one who was the unexpected injury.
The matches between India and Pakistan are close is of two reasons. 1. Both team are equal in terms of skills and strength. 2. Entertainment is the buzzword that sponsors teach players during this series so that they in turn can reap benefits.
So you think it's fixed? Why bother even following the series then? Do you support the Indian team? If you do, why do you insult yourself by supporting them if you know that a WWF type script has already been written for the game?

Gambit' date=' dont get too emotional. Facts are hard to digest. Why I follow or not follow is my prerogative isn't it.[/quote'] Who is getting emotional? And LOL, what facts? Show me the facts. Show me where India have not rotated their bowlers of late. Show me your 'facts' shedding light on sponsors fixing these games. Regarding who you follow, I only ask because you consider the matches to be fixed, so why even watch? Or do you treat cricket like WWF?

I'm talking about Aussie players who are fit an raring to go when asked to step in. Just count both sides and see how many played during this hectic time period.
Regarding who you follow' date=' I only ask because you consider the matches to be fixed, so why even watch? Or do you treat cricket like WWF?[/quote'] It is upto you as a fan to grade it fixed or full of entertainment. I was only stating the hand of sponsors on determining how the show goes on the field. You name it the way you want! If you think that as an absurd statement then it is time to change that one-eyed lense that you're using.

As I said, of late, India have rotated their fast bowlers. Aggy/RP/Zak and Sreesanth have been rested for games here and there. Since you made the assertion, why don't you show me how come Aussie bowlers played compared to Indian ones?

Let's see the facts since you claimed your statements to be as such.

I have read this comparison about Indian Cricket and Mad Dog Show. I think it finds some significance in this case. Is Indian cricket as The Mad Dog Show and are you chasing a Mad Dog? Every time after a defeat you see cricketers house being pelted by stones or effigy burned on the street. It is because of the mindset that fans cultivate right from the beginning of a game. You cannot accept defeat period and if you see someone talking the other way you call foul and shut the door on him.
No, the reason why people are piling onto you isn't because they can't accept defeat. It's because your posts in this thread amount to pure, concentrated horsesh*t of the worst quality.

Two countries with tremendous corruption and lack of recruiting competence in the recruiting process come together with players who are looking so tired after back to back series. In spite of this cricket assumes a much larger significance than it should(you only need to look at site like this to know). A loss at the hands of the other is going to be considered nothing less than a national failure. Predict the state of fans in this forum a week from now? Cheerful and resurgent or down, beaten and hurt?
You are pretty much saying these folks shouldn't play because the administrators suck. In that case none should be playing any kind of sport. Even the olympics committee and FIFA are very corrupt too. Does that mean there should be no olympics and foot ball nations clashing? The two Twenty20 games these two teams played were the two best games in the Twenty20 WC. In fact I can go on to say the two games contributed to the huge success of Twenty20 format. How can you not be excited about this series? I don't quite get excited about the ODI series but test series is going to be fun.
