Dubai: Following a complete sell-out of all tickets for the Pepsi Indian Premier League 2014 matches on Saturday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium for Saturday, Dubai Sports City authorities have requested people not to come to the stadium if they haven’t purchased a ticket. “We request people to come the stadium only if you have a ticket. There will be no tickets for sale at the stadium on the match day. This request is being made to avoid any crowd in and around the gates,†said Maqbul Dudhia, General Manager, Sports Business of Dubai Sports City, to Gulf News ahead of the matches between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians at 2.30pm and Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils. “To make it comfortable for the fans, for the first time Dubai is using an electronic system with barcode reading. The ticket will also have additional feature like hologram,†added Dudhia. 3418424181.jpg “This system is credible and accurate in terms of sales and control. The ticket barcode with be electronically read at all gate sections. If you have a ticket, please do come early because ticket processing can take time. The earlier you enter the better it will be for the fans to enjoy the ambience. We want every fan not to miss this fantastic cricket event which can give them a different experience.†He added that special arrangements had been made for all off-field activities. “Fireworks are in place and there will be lot of fun for the spectators. The IPL under ‘Ring of Fire ‘lighting system will be something special and with a packed stadium, the two matches will be a memorable experience for every fan to cherish forever,†said Dudhia.
