One user talked about Muslim representation, wonder what will he say about so called secular parties? Like in WB, 30% Muslim population and yet only 3% in government service. Just for comparsion, Gujarat has 9% Muslims population and has 5% in government service.

Bengali muslims have a history of apolitical apathy. If you ever go to Andamans, visit the Kalapanis, you will be surprised to find that more than 90% bengalis who were imprisoned there (usually for terrorism against the British or serious political manuevers against them) were hindus. Bengali muslims became significantly politicized during the 60s due to the Bangladesh issue and have been ever since 1971 across the border in BD but in WB, the bengali muslims have maintained political apathy and disengagement.
