Till now Thakerey's haven't held any office - you think he will change that? Also, Gopinath Munde is a former Deputy CM and was the deputy leader of Opposition in lok Sabha so he won't take any position other than CM in Maharashtra IMO otherwise he will remain in the Central Govt. I think Udhav is more brutal minded than his father. He is even moving up the ranks of Mumbai cricket association, something which his father was against. I have posted an article in maha assembly thread. In an era of personality politics from the sena pov its the right thing to do. Deputy CM is bit of a loser position in maharashtra. The last time Munde was that he was not that senior a leader. You have to remember that the last time Sena-BJP were in power were 15 years ago. The next most powerful seat in Maharashtra after CM is revenue minister and industries minister. What may happen is Munde might be given both of them. Some are giving Jaitley for Foerign while others are giving his name for Finance. Some are giving Sushma for Foreign while others are giving her name for Defense. And as far as other ministries are concerned, there is even lesser clarity except that Shourie may get a Finance/Investment related portfolio while Gadkari may get a Infrastructure related portfolio. Currently there is no real source that any website/media house has in the BJP administration and especially among Modi's core team. Also, there are rumors that it has been conveyed to all ministerial hopefuls that any stories planted in the media or any discussion about potential portfolios in the media can result in their name being removed from consideration. And above all, there are really very, very few people within the BJP who actually know what Modi is thinking. Ex - for the Speakers' post some say Kariya munda while others are saying Sumitra Mahajan. Some others are also saying MM Joshi for Speaker.
