We won't play like India: Muralitharan

This all a big conspiracy by Dubai based bookies to stop Murali from passing Warne in Aus. Both the teams have taken heavy pay-offs to make sure Murali bowls only once every match and Sri Lanka loses by innings. But for this shameful act, Murali would have passed Warne in the first test itself.

The only series where JT(javelin thrower) did well against OZ was SL's home series in 2004. But SRW was as good if not better and ended up taking OZ to a 3-0 victory. Remember the 2nd test 4th innings effort from him in that series?
SKW, you mean? BTW, one interesting thing about the comparison between the two that series. Both had very similar hauls (Warne 26 @ 20.03, Murali 28 @ 23.17), but their strike rate was a good way apart - Warne averaged about 39 balls per wicket, compared to Murali's 45. (The great irony though is that Lehmann ended the series with a better average, strike rate and economy rate than either)

Warne was incredible in that series. Outbowling JT on his own pitches was no mean feat. And Australia's belief and desire to win in that series was astounding. To come back and win from not one, not two but three first innings deficits in consecutive tests is staggering.

I dont see how Murali's utter failure against Australia in Australia even enters the equation into any sort of comparisons with Warne- who never bowled at the Aussies either! Murali's only weakness is that he posesses too many tools in his armoury, so if $hit doesn't work immediately, he loses patience. But otherwise, he is quite easily the most versatile spinner and despite his lack of patience, he is quite literally the best spinner the world has ever seen.
