about formation this was just set up for counter attacking LVG gave up on fighting in mid field and tried to use pace of di maria and i guess this was best position for him and rooney is better defensively than di maria i guess in next game mata should play in place of rvp with different formation with rooney at front (this is if falcao is unfit ) if he is fit then he straight away replaces rvp

let me share some stats in whole game rvp had 7 touches on ball and 3 successful passes he was basically invisible or ghost like adi put it :giggle:

Yup could have guessed that from the game too. As if we were with 10 men. He was such a beast under SAF. I think its not just about bad form, his time at his peak has probably ended.

I agree.Rooney should be played as the lone striker,rvp should be benched.if falcao gets back,even better..I think its time Di Maria goes back to advance left mid position rather than just a winger.I think Valencia can be played on the wing.di Maria is much better running with the ball in the mid rather in wings because of falcao's absence

let me put it this way the keeper who is sitting on bench for chelsea will start for any team in world other than bayern munich and courtois is reason he is on bench :--D imo when it comes to normal keeping they are same and will save goals similar way but courtois is so better covering his area in air and bosses every inside with his height and reach specially crosses he catches everything ..
