SLICKR392 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Costa  Zabelta got hold of Costa after tackling him. And deserved a yellow which in turn got him sent off.
SLICKR392 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Every time the ball was near the goal, 8-9 Chelsea players were seen defending. He said. I somewhat agree with Pellegrini. Did you watch the match to agree with anyone whatsoever? Even Germany were defending intially against Brazil when their attack was on in the first 5 mins, well the rest was history but still.
Old guy Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Costa  Zabelta got hold of Costa after tackling him. BlueBee Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 what is wrong in defending their post  every team does that with adding extra effort to protect their post when opposite team is attacking and trying to score :agree: When did I say it's wrong? But why defend with 8-9 players and not let the ones do their own work? I even saw Costa around the goal post defending. Chelsea could have scored more goals if they'd attacked more. At times they would defend it and some Chelsea player tried but couldn't take it near the goal post as there wasn't anyone to help him take it the other side. What lame comparsion? How exactly is defending at that moment a lame comparsion? Have you watched Italy's WC winning team's tactic throughout the tourney? When was Costa alone without any other forwards? Show me one such instance. Seriously dude! And its not easy to score 'more' goals if you attack against Kompany and co. (lol). Costa almost slipped in 2. Stop reading post game articles and watch the actual game.

Lol boy, I watched the full match. However I couldn't find a pic or video of anyone alone to show you. But I'm sure you can find many in a full match video. And regarding the Italy WC, can you show me any such instance when they were defending with 8-9 players?

Like always you are full of ignorance andStupidity ...please do not post about stuff you have no idea about ...almost every team sends players back to defend its not about doing job it's about marking the players you are supposed to mark So in instance there are 7 players of Man City going forward are mid fielders who are marking them suppose to just stand in their attacking positions ? Or during corner there are 8 city players attacking are chelsea supposed to defend with 5 ?

If you have no idea how the Italian team were earlier, then stop posting on that topic. I can find many what in a full time video? 8-9 Chelsea players at their goal post? So were you the one with Williams and Costa dribbling the ball forward?

I didn't say anything about defending during corners. Go and watch the full match carefully then talk..

Earlier the Italian team's tactics was very defensive, I know that, but that wasn't to defend with 8-9 players at the goal posts. 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 is different from Chelsea's current 5-4-1-0 CHELSEA v Man City
kumar713 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Shanti it is :dontknow: Who is shanti:poink:

Go and watch the full match carefully then talk.. and who told you they are not supposed to defend ? ivanovic (from chelsea ) is constant threat and of whole team decides to go forward and attack specially at corners you have got to defend messi seems to be this year defending lot more for barca :winky:
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 also this picture you posted ....this is hardly defensive formation if costa or any one stand on other sides with defender coming forward they will be off side
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 also this picture you posted ....this is hardly defensive formation if costa or any one stand on other sides with defender coming forward they will be off side But that's what Chelsea is using. And it's working too. But it is a defensive tactic.
