Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 And again you talking about Corners. :wall: Didn't follow much of La Liga this year. :(( Only saw the Real madrid matches (Repeat Full) i am talking about whole match! you do know offside rule right ? so if kompany and co are forward there is no other way to defend and against city its best option this is way they lost against some other teams too
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 But that's what Chelsea is using. And it's working too. But it is a defensive tactic. lol city were on full attack at home! its not only chelsea playing its also city playing and chelsea did got ball forward there i video some posted showing costa vs kompany too ..what you are accusing chelsea is to just standing in front of goal line and not going forward there is nothing wrong with defending with numbers against numbers ..but when they got ball they went forward they even scored first
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 and after first goal they even created next chance!
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 i am talking about whole match! you do know offside rule right ? so if kompany and co are forward there is no other way to defend and against city its best option this is way they lost against some other teams too But that would only be an offside if the ball is played to him at that time :dontknow:
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 lol city were on full attack at home! its not only chelsea playing its also city playing and chelsea did got ball forward there i video some posted showing costa vs kompany too ..what you are accusing chelsea is to just standing in front of goal line and not going forward there is nothing wrong with defending with numbers against numbers ..but when they got ball they went forward they even scored first Didn't see previous matches But scoring the goal first doesn't proves that they were not playing defensively. And what about video?
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 But that would only be an offside if the ball is played to him at that time :dontknow: the formation you showed is while chelsea did not have ball i saw whole game and we always went forward when we had ball but city dominated ...it happens specially at home big teams dominate lot more opposite will happen at our home :winky:
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Didn't see previous matches But scoring the goal first doesn't proves that they were not playing defensively. And what about video? that video showed costa and co were attacking but on day city were playing better..its simple as that . and again nothing wrong with defending when other team is playing well and dominating but when we had wall we went forward so no need to accuse chelsea for that heck 2nd yellow of pablo was also while attacking
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 the formation you showed is while chelsea did not have ball i saw whole game and we always went forward when we had ball but city dominated ...it happens specially at home big teams dominate lot more opposite will happen at our home :winky: Exactly! Chelsea went forward with the ball but Man City dominated. Why? Chelsea players were on the other side busy defending. And since when Chelsea became "we" for you? :D
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 that video showed costa and co were attacking but on day city were playing better..its simple as that . and again nothing wrong with defending when other team is playing well and dominating but when we had wall we went forward so no need to accuse chelsea for that heck 2nd yellow of pablo was also while attacking It was after 1st half when Chelsea started their attack. And as a result, they scored a goal and a unlucky shot at the post. Zabaleta got his 2nd yellow too after 1st half. (when they were attacking as you said)
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Exactly! Chelsea went forward with the ball but Man City dominated. Why? Chelsea players were on the other side busy defending. And since when Chelsea became "we" for you? :D oh boy ....if you wanna troll without no knowledge like with harmison discussion please go away because i will not be kind like slickr and let it slip :winky: and i supported this team before first match go check threads also city dominated because they played well it was their day it happens ..like in cricket some times a team playes better some times b team...but normally at home teams of equal strength dominate its nothing new did you see what bayern munich did to city ?
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 It was after 1st half when Chelsea started their attack. And as a result' date=' they scored a goal and a unlucky shot at the post.[/quote'] ah i thought you will say city went defending in 2nd half:winky: like i said 2 teams are playing one team reacts to other...was city parking the bus when we were attacking ? all i saw was 5-6 players standing infront of goal when costa was attacking :winky:
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 ah i thought you will say city went defending in 2nd half:winky: like i said 2 teams are playing one team reacts to other...was city parking the bus when we were attacking ? all i saw was 5-6 players standing infront of goal when costa was attacking :winky: Nah! Both were equally attacking after 1st half. And 5-6 ans 8-9? Don't you see the difference? Man City played 4-4-2 and it's not unusual to see 5-6 players defending when you play with that tactic. But Chelsea's whole 5-4-1-0 tactic is unusual.
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Nah! Both were equally attacking after 1st half. And 5-6 ans 8-9? Don't you see the difference? Man City played 4-4-2 and it's not unusual to see 5-6 players defending when you play with that tactic. But Chelsea's whole 5-4-1-0 tactic is unusual. lol.....so you are saying costa was playing in mid field ? also how are u suppose to defend when guys like kompany who are defenders come forward?? simple uestion when city had ball and came forward what is guys like costa supposed to do? stand infront of city goal and chat with joe hart ?
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 also 5-6 players against 3 guys and 8-9 against 6-7 does not look that different to me!
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 lol.....so you are saying costa was playing in mid field ? also how are u suppose to defend when guys like kompany who are defenders come forward?? simple uestion when city had ball and came forward what is guys like costa supposed to do? stand infront of city goal and chat with joe hart ? No, but don't go too far that your defenders had to carry the ball to the opponent's half.
Old guy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 No' date=' but don't go too far that your defenders had to carry the ball to the opponent's half.[/quote'] where is he supposed to stand ? just tell me that so that noob like me can understand from seasoned football fan like you ... you posted that picture (which is misleading ) just point finger at it and tell me where costa is supposed to stand and keep in mind the offside rule
BlueBee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Chelsea's formation should've been 4-2-3-1 and Costa placed on any point in the 3 men row.
SLICKR392 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Exactly! Chelsea went forward with the ball but Man City dominated. Why? Chelsea players were on the other side busy defending. And since when Chelsea became "we" for you? :D WTF! Kompany and Mangala says hello. That was the whole highlight of the game, the defense of Man City and how well the debutante Mangala was. And stop checking out Wiki and other websites for info on Italy. You yourself had admitted that you started watching this sport after the WC started. Italy won it at 2006, you might have a pretty good memory for a 6-8 year old back then to remember Italy's formation.
