“Love jihad†may have proved to be a non-starter for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the recent Assembly by elections in Uttar Pradesh, but the issue refuses to die down. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has said that the administration should take a serious view of the incidents of “love jihad†as it hurts the dignity of women. Describing the “love jihad†incidents as “shamefulâ€, RSS “sarkaryavaha†Suresh “Bhaiyaji†Joshi told journalists on Monday that since the last 10 to 15 years, the “Hindu samaj†has been facing “love jihadâ€. “Without taking a communal view, there is no doubt that it hurts women’s dignity and injustice is meted out to “them, Mr. Joshi said. Mr. Joshi was replying to a query on whether, after the recent turn around by the “victim†at the centre of the “love jihad†controversy in Meerut, it was a dead issue. He said it was an issue of concern for the “samajâ€, adding that the RSS is part of the “samaj†(society). On the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya, Mr. Joshi said the RSS feels that the temple is already there, what is needed is that it should be made bigger. The RSS “sarkaryavaha†said in its election manifesto that (the BJP) has promised to remove obstacles and it is hoped that the (Central) Government will take it seriously. Some time should be given to the Government, he added. Mr. Joshi said that the Sangh, in its three-day national council meeting which concluded here on Sunday, reviewed the work done till now and also discussed plans for the future

Terror and love can live happily together if the revelations thrown up by the National Investigation Agency into the Burdwan blasts are any indication. During the course of investigation, the NIA has so far discovered 13 Jihadi couples who were part of proscribed terrorist organisation JMB's (Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh) grand dream of establishing an Islamic state in Bangladesh and three West Bengal districts of Malda, Nadia and Murshidabad. Investigations have revealed that to put their plan into practice, top JMB leaders in Bangladesh had instructed their cadres involved in India operation to target young females belonging to low socioeconomic background and marry them. This would enable them to acquire Indian identity and documents and the women could be used as a cover too. According to NIA sources, 13 women from West Bengal got married to JMB cadres, and were involved in imparting dangerous jihadi indoctrination and training at the Simulia madarsa in Burdwan and Mukimnagar madarsa in Murshidabad. They also actively participated in spreading jihadi philosophy. The findings allege that Fatima, wife of absconding chief of Burdwan module, Sajid and three others, Ayesha wife of Yusuf Sheikh, Moina wife of Talha Sheikh and Saira who was married to Suman alias Sadik were the four lead trainers at the two madarsas. The rest of the nine women, including arrested Alima, again married to JMB cadres, were undergoing training at different levels to be incorporated as trainers after completion of their training. The training included gun and arrow shooting, physical training, bomb making, delivery of jehadi talk and to show the plight of Muslims through videos to woo young minds. At least four of the absconding JMB cadres – Sajid, Talha Sheikh, Nasirullah and Kausar, on whom NIA has announced a reward of Rs. 10 lakh each, are suspected to be Bangladeshi nationals. Their wives Fatima, Moina, Samina and Muzura are also on the run. The identity of rest of the JMB activists so far indicates that they are Indian nationals but it is yet to be established whether their parents were inflitrators or original inhabitants

^^^ It's some sophisticated planning. Target the poor Indians and marry them. Acts as a good cover. We need to take such threat seriously, just because it happens to poor families who can easily be quiet doesn't make it a small issue. It's spreading quickly around the country.
