I think it improves concentration of batsman,helps him more compared to others

Dhoni is good batsman in odi due to wk,even robin played well in ipl but failed in aus due to giving up keeping,dekock gilly opening with good results

Yes keeping helps improve batting skills.

Yeah, he can get a better idea of the pitch (If bowling first). But it also makes him tired.
