So I have Netgear WGR614v10 with the latest firmware. The channel Im using is 1 6 or 11 and Im getting the same result. So the issue is: My wired speed is 98 MBPS and my wireless speed struggles to cross 30 and doesnt even get to 31 MBPS. I have looked everywhere and cant find a solution. The max speed setup is also 150 mbps. For those who will advise to get a new router, please advise which one :giggle: Thanks in advance

It could be the anti-virus. Has happened to me before. Uninstall the AV, check the speed and reinstall the AV. If it is the AV, try disabling web-protection could resolve the issue.

Keep the computer within 30 feet. Also try to change the DNS server. See this website and let me know if you could understand this. http://www.pcworld.com/article/241219/speed_up_your_internet_connection_by_changing_your_domain_name_system_server.html
I work for a company that sells DNS servers :D I have reasonable understanding of it and guess that if DNS server is slowing it then it cant slow the speed only for wireless.
