Zak and UV are clearly Gangu's old buddies but so are Bhajji and Sehwag (who are not in his list). So i don't think he is choosing this squad with bias. TBH, even if UV is included in the probables he is far behind the current crop of LOI batters to have any chance of making the final 15. Zak on the other hand is a good person to have in the squad because of his death bowling record (yesterday, the Brit analysts - Nasser, Knight, etc were saying that in the past decade Zak is the only Indian bowler who comes to mind as someone who consistently bowled well at the death). Zak is finished as a test match option now and he should just try to give it one final go in the WC before becoming a full-time tamasha leage player imo. Zak, BK, Shami, Aaron, and Mohit (Dhoni selection) would be a nice group of pacers in the final list (even though i would prefer Pandey or Umesh instead of Mohit)

World cup PACERS can't be anyone under 135 unless its bhuvi who has tremendous skill. Khan has lost it.. plus with 2 white balls we dont need his reverse swing exploits anymore Bhuvi (on swing tracks, or unless he hits 138 again), Shami, Umesh, Aaron and if i had to pick one more, it would be bumrah. This isn't about making squad regulars (mohit) happy, its about winning a world cup which occurs only every 4 years. We need pace.

So? That wc was like 5 years ago. He has done squat since then. He along with uthapa were the crappiest players in the list A tour there recently. Was righrly dropped from the 11.
