Kalia_Test Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Is Vishy ahead right now? Considering time remaining? Too early to say...theoretically and as per engines, he is slightly better but there does not seem a clear plan on how to push advantage
India-KXIP fan Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Too early to say...theoretically and as per engines' date=' he is slightly better but there does not seem a clear plan on how to push advantage[/quote'] Engines saying white is much better now... Anything changed now? What do u think will be best attack options from here? Vishy has to nail this! :cheer:

Kalia_Test Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Engines saying white is much better now... Anything changed now? What do u think will be best attack options from here? Vishy has to nail this! :cheer: Oh...don't go by engines for 1.33 or so...what the engines imply is, given all possibilities from that point onwards, more often that not, white will win...It does not say that , if black plays properly , it can't draw or even win ( with some sub-optimal or blunder moves by white ). If engines say "White is winning" like they did in last game, then they are reasonably right. I can say one thing - Anand is trying to beat Carlsen on his game i.e create a compicated position and put opponent is time trouble...that was Carlsen formula and now Anand is trying it on him
Kalia_Test Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Carlsen has 2 mins odd each for next 17 moves Anand has 7.5 mins per move for next 16
India-KXIP fan Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Good to see Vishy take breaks and play quickly. He can't concentrate for long periods as well as he would have at age 25. And in recent games as game has progressed he has made bad moves. Good to have time on his side, and that he's taking many breaks :nice:

HIC_NAA Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 ^White makes first move Like the guy in comments said why not bishop e5? Vishy take a break! BUt how come that is an advantage, it would still mean both black and white would have same number of moves etc. maybe im confused
Kalia_Test Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 BUt how come that is an advantage, it would still mean both black and white would have same number of moves etc. maybe im confused The first move forces a certain response ( or a limited set of responses only ) at the top level

f.b.m Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 BUt how come that is an advantage, it would still mean both black and white would have same number of moves etc. maybe im confused White can make a threat to which black has to defend. If white makes a checkmating threat and black makes his own checkmating threat in response, white can checkmate first.

Kalia_Test Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 WTF Anand is playing.. :wall: or maybe as a simpleton i dont understand anad's move.. Ra1 was the best move even as per engine
