I think it's time we draw the line and ask for tailenders to have at least some basic batting and fielding skills. This is like 80s & 90s when we had Mongia come in 5 down and the team would barely muster 50 runs after that. Our current last 5-6 wkts can't even last 50 balls, forget 50 runs. Lloyd famously stopped playing spinners and went with 4 man pace attack after a loss to India in mid 70s. I think this is our similar moment where we have to start playing players who are multi-dimensional. How can we ever perform well when our no. 6 batsman is equivalent of a no. 10 of other teams? And it's not as if our bowlers are world beaters at taking wkts. I'm sorry to say but a tail which starts with wkt keeper is no longer sustainable and it's time changes are made. Really feel for Kohli who really deserved much much better from his so called "team".

Then you can at least draw the game. Rather than have 4 clueless piece of shyte bowlers who can't take wkts, I would rather have 4 piece of shyte bowlers who at least know how to bat a bit and can field. If the tail had done something in either innings we at least draw the game.

I understand you can't score runs but is it too much to ask to put at least some price on your wkt and make the bowlers earn the wkts? Did you see how Saha, Shami, Ishant etc. got out? Didn't they realize 10 more overs and it could be a draw?

This is what will be life after Dhoni in odis as well. Kohli being the lone flag bearer and rest of the folks mental midgets. There's a reason why temperament trumps talent. If Saha is our future after Dhoni then we better fast forward it to the next option. I say let's try Sanju Samson. Surely he can't be as hare brained as Saha.
