But as has been the case all this thread and in other threads, the Pakistani members have said that they as a nation need to learn from their mistakes, the same way Germany and Japan have learn from theirs. Yet the Indian response isn't one of acceptance, that the vast majority of Pakistani, domestic and foreign want to lead peaceful lives. You have just said it's understand that India has cases of rape, as they have a population of 1.3billion. That there in sums you up, it doesn't matter if the population is 1.3 billion or 1.3 million, rape is not justifiable at all. Rape occurs all over the world and it's a shocking crime that should be punished by either life sentence or the death sentence. You cannot just sit and there and type, oh it's ok for India to have rape problems, we're a big country. Thankfully the vast majority of Indians don't think like you, they are it's a serious crime whatever the population. As for the crimes of the army, what else is there to say other than you have to hope they learn from their past and ensure these war crimes never happened again as history will always remember them. PS. Pakistan is guilty of gang rapes as well, but perhaps even more than rape, honour killings. These are practises that the country needs to wipe out. In the large part, the conditions are improving, Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad and surrounding areas have heightened punishment and caught more suspects. But of course the job isn't done, until there is no more gang rape or honour killings ever committed. Talk about trying to put words in someone's mouth...trying to give the impression that I condone rape of any kind...We have seen how India responded to the Delhi gangrape....

There are no words being put into anyone's mouth. You said India has a population of 1.3 billion, so these things are bound to happen. You then pretty much said, Pakistan has a much lower population and these things are happening there too, just not given the same coverage. Whatever the population these things should not happen. Yes I can see what India is doing, clearly not enough and not quick enough. Which is pretty much the same as Pakistan's approach to honour killings. Not enough and not quick enough.

Now, in this same thread, one of the Pakistani members said :-"Worry about teenage girls getting raped in india everyday rather then an event that took place decades ago. By the way indian army is no angel, from sikh massacre to raping women in kashmir is very well documented." Surely it does not show that Pakistanis members need to learn from their mistakes. It only shows that they are not even ashamed at what their army did , which is rape of millions of Bangladeshis....they only want to point out towards India and by some twisted logic, it makes them feel better.... Now...after the post I quoted above, I wrote " In a country of 1.3 billion people, it is easy to find instances of rapes and abuse.." And with some great logic, you concluded that I condone rape...excellent logic :two_thumbs_up:

Bones. you are missing the point completely. I would ask you and all Pakistani posters to cool down and try to analyze what Beetle has said. Rape, robbery, murder etc are crimes which happens everywhere in every society, at some places it is more some it is less. The point which is been made here is how does your government or law makers have policies and are dealing with this. In your case, government or the law makers are not strict against the Terrorism , they have seperate policy for a terrorist who kills someone in Mumbai or Newyork but seperate for those who kills someone in Peshwar. You have a thinking that the person who killed a women in Mumbai will never kill the children of Lahore which is flawed logic. in India we do not make seperate policies for rapists or murderer on the basis of who he has killed. A killer is a killer and a rapist is a rapist.
