Expected more seam movement swing sharply there in as except sydney pert. But pitches have lacked venom. We can make excuses all we want but in the first 2 Tests' date=' Australia have managed to take 40 wickets and we have taken 28.[/quote'] Not excuses i feel our best chance is on green top.

Brisbane wasn't really flat. We were just 4 wickets away, if we had 230 we might have won even after the embarrassing collapse. Adelaide was how it has been for years. MCG is good for batting once you get set.

Its not about being 4 wickets away these are poor batting lineups.I am talking about seam movement off the pitch even aussie bowlers who are world class have not got anything off the pitches.

It's just excuses. This is a recurring problem for India.

I wouldnt call any of these pitches flat. They have good pace and bounce and there is always something for bowlers. Adelaide was a bit easy paced but that's the way it has been playing for a while. There has been some good batting from both sides. From India, it has been mostly Vijay, Kohli, Rahane and for Australia, it has been Warner, Smith. The bowling hasnt been exceptional but Australia have bowled much better. Lyon, Hazlewood, Johnson have bowled some great spells. From Indian side, none.

I think that's pretty much how Aus always is. In Perth there is swing, Sydeny first day a little, other than that there is bounce and pace off the pitch, not much lateral movement.

Some people are assuming pitches in Australia to be minefields after seeing the way our previous team and English side played there. They made them look far worse than they are. South Africa batted quite well in Aus in their last series. Pitches in Australia have always been good for batting but there is help for bowlers too.

Well, if a pitch offers little sideways movement, and has predictable bounce then it's flat. It can have good pace and carry, but as long as it's true bounce, then it shouldn't matter. The pitches have been flat doesn't mean that Australian bowling hasn't been good or Indian bowling hasn't been bad. India's performed poorly, Australia are playing well and the pitches are flat. These statements don't need to be mutually exclusive.
