Lannister Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 There are reports that Australian selectors are set to drop Lyon from their World cup squad even though he is clearly their best spinner. It's a contrary to what we practice in India, where once you get inside the team it's very hard for you to get out, no matter how miserable your form is at the end of the day.
MCGGG Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Lyon is a vastly overrated bowler IMO, sad state of affairs when he's the best test spinner we have, as for ODIs I'd prefer to go with Doherty.

MCGGG Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Every Indian ODI player up for WC selection should be playing in the BB, and I'd even suggest they should have applied for first class Australian teams this season, no stone should remain unturned this year..

Our spinner is Maxwell or Doherty (although jeez I hope it isn't Doherty). Smith and Aaron Fonch bowl part time spin too
