gaurav92 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Selling a team should be before retention and the new owner shall reserve the right whether to retain the player or go for a fresh auction.

velu Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Will you play in the IPL ?? :woot: busy in job hunting dont want to get fired by samsung :((
gaurav92 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Lets just see how many turn up for the IPL game. Firstly, we must make sure all the existing participants join in the IPL. Once we know a rough figure of the number of participants, we can make the retention rules. If you ask me, a team should only be allowed to retain 50% of the team strength. In case of 6 members per team, only 3 can be retained or such other retention rules that has everyone's consensus. At best we can have 6 teams of 7 players each (including owners, which means 3 out of the 6 players can be retained by the team and the remaining can be bought at the auction). The retention price can be decided by the two members mutually subject to a minimum of 100 bn $ (So if a player believes that he can make better money in the auction, he may raise his price accordingly).
StriKe Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 The player retained should be retained at his/her sold price + 25% increment becoz it doesnot make sense then also Lord would like to come in this time and a lot of new players as well. also players like SD who have been bought @>300bills retained @100bills dont make sense n that too for a longer competition If so then then team purse amount should be higher + anyway they will be getting prize amount from this competition. Selling a team should be before retention and the new owner shall reserve the right whether to retain the player or go for a fresh auction. I'm going to fix a date where owners will have to post their retention player list and if they are going to keep going with team or sell the team. We got max two weeks to finalize everything.

Two weeks sounds good. I believe we can make our own ICF Premier League :woot: Lets see if we can get more new teams and new interested players for IPL.

Last time we had only 25 players in IPL FL. We had 5 team * 5 players https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jTb-VmS3kJj1LgMFzCMwzgZ245VpMp5Ph-_7KOp6kOM/edit?pli=1#gid=0 jaf won LKC in Multi Team Big Tourney :hehe:

It will create a tradition team culture and will attract more participants. As of now both in this tourney and in the last IPL if you look at the ss thread barring two or three members everyone is more concerned with their individual performance rather than the team performance. Some of them dont give chit about their own team. If wewant to make it look like team tournament there should be continuity. Starting from the scratch for 2nd tourney wont help.
StriKe Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 So let's form the rules before that we need to finalize how the the retention amount works :orderorder:

That may be for JL members, we Corporation guys are playing well as a team :winky:
Bleed-Blue Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Guys Just Wanted To Add, Personally I Think It Might Be Better With Less Team If The Extra Players Are Not Going to Be Committed Bearing in Mind The IPl Is Long Comp Some People May Just Drop Out Or Give Up Reducing the Competition. Of course Everyone is Likely To Miss A Few Games But If People Just Give Mid Way Through The Competition Will be Reduced, I'm Just saying That risk Of Extra People
gaurav92 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 So let's form the rules before that we need to finalize how the the retention amount works :orderorder: There should be a minimum capping for retention amount and maximum cap on the number of retentions allowed. We can increase the purse to 1 trillion $ and the retention base price can be set at 200 bn $ per player (assuming 3 retentions are allowed). Now, if the player thinks that his price can go higher in the auction, he will bargain and get a better deal, else risk it by going for auctions (Its a joint call taken by the team owner and the member).
