But some pseudo, elitist, snobbish, pretentious, NRI, "intellectuals" have turned that into a contest for - "What is the most boring movie I can name, which will tell everyone I am so enlightened and intelligent, even if I fell asleep after watching 5 minutes. So let me name the most obscure, random movie I can think of, and people on the internet would think I am so cool. $ICF> getting chicks in real life. Yaay, score! So this is the real movies thread on ICF. Anyone can contribute, but just keep in mind a few things. First - the movie has to be desi. Second, it has to be awesome. Third, I approve the movie I will begin with a review of the awesomeness which is Alone -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alone movie review by MTC First of all, Alone is inspired from the Thai movie named.....................wait for it............"Alone". And by inspired, we mean a scene to scene copy of most things except the love songs and Karan Singh's abs. Now, such lack of creativity can itself be the most creative thing about a Bollywood movie. But there is more to come. Alone stars Bipasha Basu. For some reason, Bollywood thinks hot Bipasha is the ideal star for anything horror related. And I am not complaining. Any excuse to give her more screen time. But does that mean we get saddled with the likes of Karan? Hell no. That is where we draw the line I will give a brief synopsis of the plot. Bipasha is haunted by a ghost. Of her conjoined twin. Karan walks around shirtless. No one believe Bipasha. Karan eats breakfast shirtless. The haunting escalates. Karan sleeps shirtless. Bipasha is taken to a romantic spot. Karan makes love to her shirtless. You get my point Bipasha, who seems to have carved a niche for herself in horror movies seems quite at home. However, I am quite certain, Karan was replaced 50% of times with this cardboard cut out and no one knew the difference The twist at the end, you can see a mile coming. Which is the distance which you should be, at anytime, away from a cinema hall showing Alone. It is not as bad as getting your nuts crushed in a nutcraker. But it is definitely worse than getting hit with a pair of wet underpants, right between your eyes MTC ratings - 0.00001 stars out of ten. Still better than the pretentious movies in the other thread.
