BJP followed SP's insanity and promised free laptops in Karnataka before the assembly elections. CBN came to power in Andhra promising Farm loan waiver that would cost the state over 50 K crores. Should all of this be illegal ? Are voters being forced to vote for certain parties due to inducements ? Or perhaps conversion by allurement cannot be termed "forced" , it is just the exercise of independent choice . Is there really any difference between the allurements offered by political parties , Corporations or Missionaries ? LINKPromises by political parties (like free water of AAP) are different. These promises can be made by any party regardless of its own financial resources. So a rich party or a poor party (in terms of donations etc) has the same opportunity to fulfill these promises when in power. On the other hand, Christian missionaries are vastly more funded (from abroad) than Buddhists or Hindus to induce conversions via monetary inducements. Furthermore, political promises by parties are non-discriminatory - I can be a voter of a party which lost the elections and yet will receive the same benefit as a voter of the victorious party. If conversion by monetary inducement is allowed then handing out cash to voters should also be allowed. Aren't both independent choices? In fact there are many "independent choices" such as sex selective fertilization/abortion, dowry, sati, drug use, etc which are illegal in India.
Temujin Khaghan Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 if entire hindu religion converts to christianity, will we (majority christian india) get any help from yemirika and europe? or will we be treated same?? because if it is worth it, then we might as well all convert. anyway there is no god, so why not make use of the freebies? P.S - since brazil is a majority christian country is there any special treatment to it from europe and yemirika?
Number Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 He is right that if someone genuinely wants to help you then he'll do it without wanting anything in return. I sometimes browse through twitter accounts of some of the projects going on in India. They give reports about some thousand people baptaised in a month in some part of India. Worst part of these is, at the time of almost every disaster or calamity like some earthquake or ISIS, they feel like they are very happy as it becomes opportunity for them to increase numbers and sometimes they even thank god for it. Absolutely sickening. One thing probably in which RSS is better that they don't try to play number game in such times.
