Wow, one strike and you are out? That seems extremely harsh, given that they are covering a sports event. Maybe a suspension would have sent the right message.

Cricinfo is within complete rights to decide the penalty - fire or not fire - it is up to Cricinfo to decide. The consequences were clearly communicated beforehand and the employee should have read it. It is also completely legal in terms of law.

nobody is disputing that. Does not mean that people cant form their own opinions if it was harsh or not. People are just differing on the severity of the consequences.

The question - do they understand the severity? Saying, Bh***** might be acceptable in Delhi but may not be in Mumbai. This doesn't mean that if a person says bh***** in Mumbai should get away just because Delhi mein chalta hai. Hope you get the gist.
