Cricketics Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I am going to miss this guy. Not much in the news today, but he will be soon as he is going to retire soon after the game. I don't see him playing a single game for NZ after this, in any format. I will miss him. He's been there in New Zealand team forever, just like I remember matches from 20 years ago, I remember Vettori too like that from 20 years ago. He's been around for a really long time and surely will be missed. Vettori used to deliver with bat and ball both when NZ batting used to struggle. He never used to take bag ful of wickets, but always bowled well and kept economy rate in check.

Ultimate_Game Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I always liked the guy and what he brought to the NZ team. For a while he was the reason NZ cricket was competitive. I wish kiwis can win the WC and he can say goodbye on a high.

Vettori actually lifted up the batting average of all #8s. Batting posn vs Average: #8 22.36 #9 16.09 That 22.36 was mainly due to Vettori coming up with 39.5 which is a high batting avg for a #8. The interviewer who was a cricket fan was asking about the logic for my simulator software :--D
