Ironhide Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 As we can see in the IPL, All the teams have filled their coaching positions with Foreign coaches and this results in neglect of domestic talents like Rahul Shukla. A bowler who bowls 140+ KPH is a rare commodity in India and its idiotic to see that none of the sides bid for him at his base price of 10 Lakhs, Don't know how much money the idiots at Daredevils saved by releasing him along the mass batch of people they released senselessly. A few domestic Indian coaches in the setup would have identified that Rahul Shukla is a steal at 10 Lakhs and would have bought him for sure but these foreign coaches don't know anything about domestic cricket and frankly they don't give a damn and are just here to collect their fat pay cheque. Check out this video of him bowling with pace and aggression at 146kph: jOXeQjCHdho
bulbul Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Every team have lot of support staff , i don't think its coaches alone select teams.
sourab10forever Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Very True...apart from RR and K11P to some extent,All other IPL teams have failed to recognise the gems of indian domestic cricket. This Has been a disappointment .The job that BCCI must have done is now upon the IPL teams and now even they have failed at this. In contradiction..KC cariappa is a great exception to the OP,with KKR and MI(both with foreign coaches ) have made the bold move to pick him.
sourab10forever Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Every team have lot of support staff ' date=' i don't think its coaches alone select teams.[/quote'] Coach's call matters a lot..if he does not show any interest, neither will the other staff guys.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Rajasthan royals used to pick players like him. Don't understand why they let him go.
bulbul Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Coach's call matters a lot..if he does not show any interest' date='neither will the other staff guys.[/quote'] Not that simple.
BeautifulGame Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 There are 56 slots available for Indian players in first XI.Further 50 plus slots available in the squad .If he cant enough get a slot despite this many options then no point blaming the foreign coaches . He isn't competing with the foreign players such that they are biased against him He is competing with the Indian domestic players so how exactly does foreign coaches bias come into that?
bulbul Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 One example of how players gets opportunity What we knew soon after Cariappa made the headlines is that AR Srikkanth, team analyst for Kolkata and Bijapur, sent some videos of Cariappa's bowling to Venky Mysore, the Kolkata chief executive, and he was called for a camp in Hyderabad before the Champions League Twenty20 last year. http://ibnlive.in.com/news/cricketnext/ipl-konganda-cariappa-lucky-to-get-kkr-contract/537515-78.html
angelina22 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Each and every team has given a special care by the coaches.
