The argument is on odi ranking where Pakistan have slipped down to minnow level. In test matches Pakistan are still a potent side with a good bowling attack. No one can deny that.

No, they are taking the final steps to reach that land mark. Not there yet. They have however reached that land mark in ODI cricket. I personally believe that they entered the test arena's way too soon which is why they have a horrendous test record. If anything, the a big chunk of the blame should go to ICC for their test record, rather than blame BD players 100%. Can't say the same for ZIM. They where there, but lost it all for political reasons. As for IRE, more ODI exposures needs to be given to them vs the big teams to see where they actually stand before actually handing out the test status to them or else they might face the same problem as BD did back in the days. Not just once in a blue moon in the world cup. As for Pakistan, they only have themselves and their country's politic to blame for this regression in their cricket. It's unfortunate that cricket had to take the hit because of some political/terrorist event. The players are not making it any better for their cricket either. Each time I go on cricinfo or any other cricket news, it's always about a Pakistani player doing this or taking drugs or what not. It happens all around the world, but unfortunately their players are more magnified when something negative happens. - I have seen some of the recent match highlights against BD, it seems like Pakistan is yet to fix their Fielding problem, top order batting problem. Pakistan is known for the bowling, even in the past, it was their bowlers who won them games after games (mostly). But with the retirement of Afridi and Ajmal under scrutiny, their bowling just went down hill aswell. I personally feel sad for them but its only them who can climb back up by working hard on not just the game, but ethics aswell. that's my 2 cent.
