As part of the India Today Group's initiative to imbibe the magazine's ethos, India Today Television was launched on Saturday. With a top-of-the-line team that includes Rajdeep Sardesai, Karan Thapar and Rahul Kanwal, India Today TV promises a package that includes its tradition of fast and fearless journalism - available so far on news stands and online - now finding another space on television. India Today Group CEO Ashish Bagga said, "As a news-led group, we believe that we need to change and evolve as the genre grows. But we have a distinct aim - that we want to occupy a niche within the English news genre as an objective and non-noisy destination for news and news analysis. We have a prime team and not a super prime time, which will help us reach the number one spot." ---------------------- So the discards of CNN-IBN ( Once Reliance bought over NW18 and kicked them out ) will be seen again :nervous: Sagarika Ghose ( wife of Rajdeep ) is already in India Today I think so she will also make a comeback :facepalm: I am getting this channel as part of my package already on Tata Sky

Headlines Today never managed to crack the top 3 in English channels so I guess they now want to use the brand of India Today to reach a wider audience. Rajdeep will get a prominent place but I'm quite sure Sagarika won't (IIRC she is with Times of India group now).

She is with TOI :nice: Rajdeep is enough torture though. Karan Thapar can be comedy sometimes atleast.
