Well, as bad as this is, who are the alternatives? Koertzen? Aleem 'Played like a fiddle' Dar? Doctrove? Ian 'That's not LBW, it's just hitting middle stump, Kumble!' Howell? Ashocka de Silva? Sad to say, but umpiring standards in world cricket are horribly low.

well, at least you havent got darryl harper. benson can be a bit trigger-happy with lbws for fast bowlers - i expect a couple of decisions from him when replays will show the ball going OVER the stumps.

Observer, not just for fast bowlers, he gives leg befores primarily on line so I expect Kumble to benefit from it as well no matter how far the batsman has stretched forward. Given, Taufell's recent blunders I would rate him as the best in business.
