fineleg
Very nervous start to our 1st Innings, and we are in a very vulnerable position at lunch time. Most of the folks here were saying "Our batting is not the worry, our bowling is the worry". Can we pick it up and fight from here on? What are the predictions for our 1st Inn total? Predictions on who are going to be the batsmen who will put up a fight here? Link to comment

Predictions on who are going to be the batsmen who will put up a fight here? no more than 250 all out. Another two or three wickets will go down in the next session. We'll be 100-5 at tea and the Aussies will pile on the pressure. Then we'll collapse. Link to comment
Ram
We need a really good batting performance from hereon. I have always believed one of our top-3 batsman have to score a century if we have to either get close to, or pass the Aussie score. This current pair of Laxman and Sachin will probably make or break it for us in the first innings. Link to comment

Guest HariSampath
If Sachin clicks, we can certainly take a lead..whats needed is a change in mindset, we should be TRYING to win and NOT just trying to save our butt Link to comment
Anakin
Bad luck for SRT and thus India. He made only one mistake and got out to a ball that didn't deserve a wkt, RD got two lives and Yuvi got one, but not SRT This match is as good as gone Link to comment
fineleg
This is really really sad and frustrating. We did ok on day-1. But against Aussies we cannot play even one or two sessions of bad cricket. Some poor cricket, and Aussies have left India reeling and staring down the barrel. It hurts. WJ - does not know where his offstump is. Dravid's innings was total bad cricket. Ganguly should have taken comfortable 2 to not leave Yuvi facing few balls before Tea. Link to comment

During Aus vs SL (2nd test, 2nd inn) Marvan hooked and got caught out near the ropes. Sanga didn't cross and Mahela faced lee. lee bowled yorker and mahela was bowled. its amazing how small things can turn into blinder against ausi's :nervous: Link to comment

Very small and insignificant things on surface, but against Aus, you've got to take your running between wickets, fielding every small thing seriously. Else, they just punish you. Phew! Its just tremendous, and we are getting crushed here with some poor batting except for Tendulkar who showed some good batting! Link to comment
fineleg
Blue Brigade, Had SG taken the two, MSD would probably not have faced Stuart Clark either. Anyways, screwed finger Billy Bowden gives MSD lbw when ball is missing leg stump. Link to comment
fineleg
Too much time left in the match. This is only 2nd day. Result is 100% sure. And we all know who's gonna win now! Thanks to poor batting + umpires as well. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
I seriously don't want to blame umpires. Blame our batsmen who let the pressure crumble them. Slow run rate is the prime reason why we collapsed :( Link to comment
fineleg
Blue brigade, Umpires too. Our bad batting + umpires. You cannot give LBW to MSD when there is enough doubt there. This is inconsistent umpiring. Link to comment
