now the highest stands as well, by Australian in newzeland beating Chappell brothers 264 runs stands broken after 42 years.yet khawaja / warner stands of 302 still alltime record set in Australia , perth., still, stands tall.

Pitches (and bats and bowling attacks to some extent) have not been the same so I don't see a batting average of 50 as such a big deal 

I dont know what would happen if someone like Richards or Sobers were playing with these kind of bats on one of their good days. On their great day, it would be an absolute carnage
