Lendl Simmons was supposed to board a flight to India on Friday to join his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. Instead, he got a call from Clive Lloyd, the West Indies chief selector, after Andre Fletcher was ruled out of the knockout stage. It meant Simmons got an opportunity to contribute to the Caribbean cause at the World Twenty20, an event that he had to withdraw from owing to a back injury.

As a result, after arriving in Mumbai on Tuesday ahead of Thursday’s semifinal, more than getting acclimatised to conditions, Simmons’s focus was to recover from jet lag.

“I slept on both flights. I came here on Tuesday and I slept off the night. In the morning I had practice. I was well rested,” a relieved Simmons said after helping the West Indies make its second World T20 final.

You mean we smacked out of Tour ?

Ash no ball is not acceptable game slipped there and one from pandya and one from jaddu boundary catch

Bravo and sammy was not in form with bat atall

Due crap helped them even more IDK why time was pushed 30 mins late

SF and Finals should be set in Time where outside crap like due doesn't effect the game and fair on both sides

This is too easy Win toss and win match

It is our bad luck that we played there. A super flat deck is our best enemy. Add to that due. And yeah the no balls.

I saw the highlights. All the full tosses were probably because of dew. Very unfortunate.
