September timeframe means they can play in UAE or South Africa, and realistically in UK/USA as well. 2009 IPL played in SA but coming 15 days [ 8 team ] IPL 2017 will be plays in Dubai, Houston and Florida, with Final in Dubai.

BCCI is trying to maximise its revenues. Now if the Supreme Court guidelines are forced on BCCI it will have to stop ADs in between overs in International matches hosted by BCCI. To offset that loss BCCI will hold a second IPL as no such restrictions are put on the IPL. Ironhide 1
Ironhide Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Good decision, 2 weeks format will be short and sweet. The overseas Indian population will also get to attend matches and BCCI will be able to offset the draconian and foolish Lodha Ad ruling. Rasgulla 1
