putrevus
Symonds is getting credit for being honest , what bunch of nonsense it is , I am still surprised he didnt get any hearing from match referee, Honesty after the fact is like rubbing salt on wounds , if he knew he was out why didnt he walk , ponting claiming bump ball or Dravid is getting lot of publicity being how honest the captain is , where was that Honesty when he was out and he didnt walk, you cant have selective honestly either you play fair game all the way or let this rotten system where umpires are like gods and cant be questioned take it course. There is appology either from Bucknor either even after Symonds admitted he was out , What is the use of Match referee , he is just to see the players not shouting at umpires and not showing them off , what about taking action on umpires who screw up big time who is going to question. Why is Indian board supposed to be the most powerful board being silent on this issue they very well know His past against India and still not protested. It shows either it doesnt care or they are too scared of ICC. This match should be played under protest like what Baseball has in the protest hearing Symonds should be suspended for not walking after he admitted he was out and still playing is not same like in past Rashid Latif getting five games ban for claiming bump catch what is difference between two and why is no one saying against it surprises me. putrevus
read australian papers for comments , and it again shows the discrimination against subcontinent players , Yuvraj was fined for showing dissent, didnt Pointing do the same when he was given out , WTF is Indian board doing it is supposed to be most powerful board , it is just happy counting money. Ram
I had made this point earlier too. Symmonds should be warned for this, because like how expressing disappointment in a press conference over a wrong decision is termed dissent and players punished, expressing relief at being let-off is also not acceptable, because, on both the occasions, the player is speaking against an umpiring decision. putrevus
Mike Procter, match referee: "As captain a lot of responsibility falls on Rashid Latif and he committed a serious offence by claiming that catch which constitutes unfair play and a level-three offence of the ICC Code of Conduct (offensive and penalties). Therefore, the Pakistani captain shall be banned for five one-day internationals. Didnt Symonds commit the same offense unfair play and why is he not being punished Link to comment

varun
its like someone commit rape and then admitting it and suddenly it doesnt look so bad stupid That's a bit of an extreme analogy. The reporter asked him in the press conference if he was out, and he said yeah. Link to comment
Sachinism
yeh i know me using an extreme example makes him look worse (well thats the plan :D) Link to comment
