The Outsider
and your solution is sehwag? who stopped scoring two years ago. goodness' date=' you talk about yuvi's lack of form to drop him now....and most probably justify sehwag's inclusion based on runs he scored 2 yrs back! thats logical indeed![/quote'] Which other batsman do we have as a back up in Australia? diegovegaz
yes yuvraj should b discarded to make way the swashbuckling virender sehwag with better opening partnership, less pressure on dravid, mayb dravid can do wonders what he expect from a player of his calibre Link to comment
The Outsider
we dont need another batsman. yuvi'll do fine.....and he'll be better for the experience. What is this - some kind of a pathshaala, better for the experience. The likes of Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid etc. were thrown in the deep end and delivered right from the start. That's how champions are made not by this "better for the experience" cr@p. Sehwag already has the experience and pedigree to back him up.The guy scored a hundred on debut in South Africa. Yuvraj is yet to come close to making one outside the subcontinent. Link to comment
The Outsider
go and check dravid's record in australia on his first tour. ponting failed spectacularly in india on his first tour. marvan atapattu scored i dunno how many ducks before he found his bearing. do also check hayden's initial test record. and VVS as well. we'll have a talk then. All of them were dropped except Dravid, who already had an average of 50 to back him up by then. Link to comment
The Outsider
and a batsman as accomplished as dravid was a miserable failure in australia on his first tour. why are you being so harsh on yuvi after just 3 innings? Because he has had miserable series against everyone except Pakistan till now. Did Dravid fail against every opposition he faced? Link to comment
yoda
badri should be playing ahead of yuvraj in tests. Link to comment
zubinpepsi
yoda, ur exile came to an end?? Link to comment
riya
We were so arrogant about our bench strength that even our greatest batsman has to compromise. Now a real eye opener .But Yuvi is very talented ,he needs to correct his technique .Dhoni also . We have no other choice right now .Hope both will learn or two things before the remaining tests . Schuffling with the batting order is not a good option .The biggest mistake was not playing Sehwag against Pakistan . Link to comment
