coverpoint Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Since India have made some noise about the cheating umps ... they are now announcing that they will have an ump show in the tea interval to show the viewers how hard it is to make these decisions. Thoughts ?

If you tell the viewers "look how hard it is for the umpires to make decisions", it will be interpreted by the viewer according to whatever his pre-conceived biases are anyway. 1) Umpires are human and it's hard to get the decisions right.. etc etc 2) It's impossible for the umpires to get the decisions right every time as they don't have the benefit of technology, hence an argument for technology.
