Yes, that I have  read but it would be nice to hear some club cricket story of such players. There are many such players in the domestic cricket or county or international level who must have been regular at club cricket and vice versa.

 

Here in USA, those who play competitive cricket, we have seen them all from West Indies. All the West Indies players who get dropped etc end up coming here and play. I played against Mervyn Dillon few weeks ago and Collymore. Also Lendl Simmons and Ricardo Powell are regular here. 

 

You remmeber Sunny Sohal who played for Punjab amd Deccan Chargers in IPL, he is one of the top run getters in Washington Cricket league and is trying to make it to the USA team now.

Asking, because such players at such age easily would have played club cricket not too long ago and many current club cricketers must be excited to see their fellow club cricketer making it to the national England team.

He's from Lancashire, to us Londoners, that's basically another country. Had heard of him only 2 years back, but nothing major.
