If the BCCI and Indian team management has any shame left...

.....come October, they need to prepare the squarest turners the world has ever seen and unleash 4 spinners on them in all 4 test matches and take the Border-Gavaskar trophy 4-0. Let the Aussies spit all over the world after that for all I care and the ICC moan about the quality of pitches as much as they want. Time for fair play and any spirit of the game in an India-Australia contest was over in the last Border-Gavaskar trophy but the Sydney test calls for serious retaliatory measures.

not the best way to go about it IMO, that strategy could always backfire on us india need to embarass aus in other ways, pour money into media, show what kinda people the australia team is made up of make sure harbhajan doesnt get in trouble and show aus as whining kids and find some other things

To do that we will need some batsmen who can handle spin on the 4th day. Right now we ourselves are struggling with that.

The simple issue is that in such a case the match is decided by the toss - r u going to fix that too?
No, it won't. I am talking about raging turners where it's going to turn square from ball 1. Play Kumble, Harbhajan, Kartik, and Chawla as your bowlers. Surely, we play spin better than them and have better and more spinners than them. Umpiring is a lost cause. At least do what's in our control.

The best way to beat Australia is play the pitches which suit the greatest majority of our bowlers - medium pacers. We need slow, low, green wickets. Munaf Patel, Zaheer Khan, RP Singh and Sreesanth with Kumble on slow green wickets would be more than a handful whereas Lee and Johnson won't be able to extract much pace and they would be reliant on Clark. The slow, low nature will be the opposite of what the Aussies are used to whereas India have pitch-up bowlers and so the green nature will help them positively and the green nature will barely effect them. On the other hand, we could prepare dosile wickets and fill the bowling unit with bowlers who are renouned for bowling on flat tracks. Praveen Kumar and Gagandeep Singh are two renouned for putting in the hard yards on flat tracks and Ishant Sharma seems to extract something from all surfaces. In the event that a flat track is prepared, I'd go as far as dropping Sreesanth. Sreesanth's weakness on traditional Indian wickets is clear from his FC record whereas Munaf and RP Singh have great FC records and Zaheer cleans up whenever he pops in to India for a FC match. Playing with four spinners on a spinning track could backfire massively as on the first day, where the pitch won't be conducive to spin, Australia may pile up 600 and kill the match there and then. The tactic is too risky.

That is the most pathetic sugggestion ive ever heard!!! Why is it that when indians want to win a match, they must revert to square turners??? AND 4 SPINNERS!!! This is the kind of attitude which has left behind in cricket, when we should be ahead of most. The pitches in india are too slow and low. Batting is too easy, fast bowling is a nightmare. Indian pitches should all be made to be fast and bouncy with something in it for everyone, just like this sydney pitch. Our players lack proper technique and back foot game mainly due to the placid pitches they were brought up on Indias legacy of spin is more of a curse, that has been holding back cricket in this country for decades. India need to look forward and improve the pathetic pitches we have in india, the most placid of placid pitches where any tom dick n harry can make runs
