Rahul Dravid needs to be moved to no.6 Now that Viru is almost certain to play at Perth as an opener pairing along side Wasim Jaffer, Rahul Dravid has no option but to bat at no.6 The kind of form Laxman is in,he virtually owns no.3 position.And his attacking style of play will do more good than harm atleast in Australia. With Sourav's bat talking better than ever,no.5 spot should remain with him for a while. That leaves Dravid with no.6 slot and deservedly so for the unwanted tortoise approach he's shown in the tour so far.

If Sehwag plays and Yuvraj is dropped, Dravid will have to bat at either 5 or 6. Laxy has been amazing at #3 and has scored quickly to boot. Given Dravid's overly cautious approach, batting him at 3 and Laxy at 6 will be a mistake. However, if Jaffer is dropped for Sehwag and Yuvi retained, Dravid will continue to open I think.

On what basis? Laxman has just now scored a fine hundred with attacking batting display and that kept the tone for the entire innings. Dravid is gradually getting back in to form but nothing to suggest that he should bat at no.3

Yuraj for sure will be dropped...Only if Sourav fails to recover from fever,he'll get a chance and there too KKD's 97 can't be ignored.
